This structure, a three-storied Brahmi-styled palace with garden spread over 27 acres of land, was built by the British army in Ratnagiri. The marble-floored dancing hall on the ground floor of Thiba palace is huge & spectacular. The wooden flooring and large dome-shaped windows with Italian-colored glasses make the Palace a royal place. Many ancient idols are on showcase here. The Buddha idol, placed at the back, was brought by King Thiba. This palace is surrounded by a well-maintained garden and fountains. Though fountains are not in action, they give a glimpse of the royal era. The Palace is converted into the musium, and the art exhibition on the top floor is worth visiting. The sloping roofs of the structure gives a complete historical experience. A viewpoint on the cliff, famous for observing the sunset, allows tourists to view Bhatye beach, Someshwar creek, and the Arabian sea in one glace
